1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PatternShow ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Description of Service

PatternShow is a platform that connects pattern designers with users interested in fabric and wallpaper designs. The service allows:

  • Artists to upload and showcase their original patterns
  • Users to browse patterns and create virtual "looks" using mockups
  • Direct purchasing links to artists' shops such as Spoonflower

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this service

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Content Guidelines

4.1 Pattern Uploads

  • Only original, handcrafted patterns are allowed
  • No AI-generated or copyrighted content
  • Patterns must be suitable for fabric/wallpaper reproduction
  • Patterns can be linked to external shops for direct sales (e.g., Spoonflower)
  • You are responsible for ensuring your patterns comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Artists retain full ownership of their patterns
  • By uploading patterns, you grant PatternShow a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your patterns on the platform
  • You can allow your patterns to be used in user-created looks. Users creating looks with your patterns must credit you as the original artist.
  • If you delete a pattern, it will be removed from the platform, but any existing looks created by other users using that pattern will retain the pattern image as it was at the time of look creation.

4.2 User-Generated Content

  • Looks created on PatternShow can be shared publicly
  • You grant PatternShow a license to display your looks on the platform
  • You must credit original pattern and mockup creators when sharing looks externally. When sharing looks on social media or other platforms, include credit to the original pattern designers and mockup creators used in your look, and link back to the look on PatternShow for proper attribution and direct purchase links on the pattern designers' shops.

4.3 Prohibited Content

  • Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content
  • Copyright infringement
  • Misleading or fraudulent content
  • Content that violates applicable laws

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Pattern Ownership

  • Pattern designers retain all rights to their original designs
  • PatternShow does not claim ownership of uploaded patterns
  • Users may use patterns in looks (if permitted by the artist). They must credit the original mockup and pattern creators when sharing looks externally.
  • Users may not otherwise use, reproduce, create derivative works of, or distribute mockups or patterns without permission from the artist

5.2 Platform Content

  • PatternShow's website design, logo, and software are protected by copyright
  • You may not reproduce or distribute our intellectual property without permission

6. Privacy and Data

  • Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
  • We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 Service Availability

  • PatternShow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time

7.2 Content Accuracy

  • We do not verify the accuracy of pattern specifications or mockup representations
  • Users should verify pattern details directly with artists

8. Limitation of Liability

PatternShow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at our discretion, with or without cause.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform announcements.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.
